When we last spoke I shared news of a new project called Metalabel. In the months since the project has grown, with more releases expanding our universe — from an interactive tool for groups to explore their purpose to a creative laboratory where collectives can learn from mentors and each other.
Our latest release is a new piece I wrote called “After Crypto,” published in the magazine Works In Progress. The essay explores my journey into the world of the blockchain and the reasons I find the technology and possibilities to be so compelling. Here’s how I teased the piece on Twitter:
Blindly dismissing any project that touches a blockchain is like missing the forest for the logging industry There’s potential and utility beyond financialization There’s life on-chain *after crypto*
fwb.helpAfter CryptoThe hyper-financialized world of crypto and Web3 is just one application of the blockchain. It’s time we explore the wider possibilities that can emerge from shared public ledgers.
Thanks for checking it out. Look forward to catching up more soon.
Peace and love my friends,
