Coming back to this interview. It opened up dialog with my dad on the topic of segregated "public" pools. Came to find out my Gramps & Grandma were a part of this specific movement. They took legal steps against the Parks Board in Pasadena, CA to help change legislation during this era... so that my uncles could swim in the public pools. Thanks for sparking this convo you two!
